Results can typically last around 6–12 months, depending on the individual and treatment area. Maintenance treatments can help prolong the results. 

Polynucleotides are generally well tolerated. Mild redness, swelling, small bumps, bruising or tenderness can occur around the injection sites and usually settle within a few days. As with any injectable treatment, there is a risk of infection or an allergic reaction. 

Some improvement may be noticeable within a few weeks, with results continuing to develop over the following weeks as the skin regenerates. Full results are typically seen after a course of treatments. 

A course of 2–3 treatments is usually recommended, spaced around 4 weeks apart. This can vary depending on your skin and treatment goals. 

Polynucleotides may not be suitable if you have a fish or salmon allergy, are pregnant or breastfeeding, have an active skin infection, or certain medical conditions. A consultation is required to assess suitability before treatment.
